San Jose Sharks forward Timo Meier will miss the team's game against the Seattle Kraken on Monday due to an upper-body injury, head coach David Quinn said.
Quinn had told media on Sunday that Meier was day-to-day and wasn't sure if he'd suit up for Monday's game.
The 26-year-old has 31 goals and 21 assists for 52 points in 57 games with the Sharks this season. In the final year of his four-year, $24 million contract with the Sharks, Meier's name is one that has regularly circulated around the trade block with the deadline approaching on March 3.
Tomas Hertl will also miss Monday's game due to personal reasons.
