The San Jose Sharks and forward Dylan Gambrell have agreed to a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday. CapFriendly.com reports the contract is worth $1.1 million.
Gambrell, 24, had five goals and 12 points in 49 games last season, but led the team’s forwards in shorthanded ice time. His seven assists and 12 points were career highs.

Originally a second-round pick by the Sharks in 2016, Gambrell has played 110 NHL games and 66 AHL games with the San Jose Barracuda over his professional career.
“Dylan appeared in his first full-time role last season with us and showed he is a reliable player,” said general manager Doug Wilson in a statement. “He played in a lot of different situations and utilized his speed to be an effective player.”
