Matt Duchene has agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Dallas Stars, Sportsnet can confirm.
The 33-year-old centre from Haliburton, Ont., joined the Dallas Stars last summer on a one-year deal after the Nashville Predators bought out his contract.
He recorded 25 goals and 65 points during this regular season and added two goals and six points in 19 playoff games as the Stars reached the Western Conference Final.
Duchene was drafted third overall by the Colorado Avalanche in 2009.
He has played in 1,056 regular season games with 341 goals and 809 points over 15 seasons with the Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Predators and Stars.
