Dallas Stars head coach Peter DeBoer said Friday that goaltender Scott Wedgewood is day-to-day and doubtful to play Saturday against the New York Islanders.
Wedgewood was taken off the ice on a stretcher during Thursday's game against the Florida Panthers.
The 30-year-old made a series of saves following an Anton Lundell breakaway with just over six minutes remaining in the second period to keep Dallas ahead 5-2, but he sustained an upper-body injury during the play.
Jake Oettinger came on in relief as the Stars held on to win 6-4.
Wedgewood has a 4-3-1 record with a 3.23 goals-against average and .904 save percentage in eight games this season while serving as the backup to No. 1 netminder Oettinger.
Dallas leads the Central Division with a 10-5-2 record and 22 points.
