Dallas Stars goalie Jake Oettinger exited Friday's game against the Ottawa Senators with a lower-body injury in the first period.
Scott Wedgewood replaced Oettinger just over eight minutes into the game and with the Senators leading 2-0.
Oettinger appeared to be hurt after extending his pad to make a save on Claude Giroux. At the next stoppage, he skated slowly to the bunch and went immediately to the locker-room.
After the Stars' 5-4 win, coach Pete DeBoer told reporters Oettinger will not travel to St. Louis for Saturday's game as he goes for more testing.
The 24-year-old goalie entered the game with a record of 11-7-2, a 2.85 goals-against average and .904 save percentage this season.
