The Dallas Stars have signed defenceman Alexander Petrovic to a one-year, two-way deal worth $775,000, the team announced Wednesday.
The 31-year-old was selected 36th overall by the Florida Panthers in 2010 and has since played 263 NHL games with the Panthers and Edmonton Oilers. He has spent the last three seasons in the Dallas Stars organization, playing for their AHL affiliate the Texas Stars.
In 71 games last season with AHL Texas, he scored nine goals for 27 points with a +/- of 34.
