The Dallas Stars have re-signed forward Blake Comeau to a one-year, $1 million contract for the 2021-22 season. Comeau was set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Comeau had four goals and 14 points in 51 games with the Stars last season. He led the Stars with 106 hits and was second on the team with 21 takeaways.

The 35-year-old has 140 goals and 333 points in 903 career games over 15 seasons with the Islanders, Flames, Blue Jackets, Penguins, Avalanche and Stars.
“We’re excited to be able to bring Blake back for another season,” general manager Jim Nill said in a statement. “Blake’s approach to the game, coupled with his determination and physical presence on the ice, has been a tremendous asset for us over the past three seasons. His vast experience has allowed him to become a strong leader in the dressing room and we’re thrilled he’ll be returning next season.”
