The Tampa Bay Lightning have added a longtime AHL netminder into the fold.
The team announced on Monday that they have signed goaltender Brandon Halverson to a two-year NHL contract.
The contract begins this season and will extend until the end of 2025-26.
Halverson, 28, has appeared in 26 games for the AHL's Syracuse Crunch this season, recording a 12-7-7 record, 2.20 goals against average, .918 save percentage, and four shutouts.
The Traverse City, Mich. native was drafted 59th overall by the New York Rangers in the 2014 NHL draft and appeared in a single game for the Rangers Feb. 17, 2018 against the Ottawa Senators.
