Team Sweden has decided on who will replace Jacob Markstrom for the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Samuel Ersson is getting the nod for his country, the team announced Wednesday.
The 25-year-old has a 15-8-2 record with a 2.77 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage this season with Philadelphia.
Ersson joins Filip Gustavsson and Linus Ullmark as the options in net for Sweden. Ullmark is expected to return in time for the tournament despite being sidelined with a back injury.
Markstrom suffered an MCL sprain after Bruins forward Justin Brazeau crashed into him in the Devils crease.

Markstrom stayed down on the ice following the play and needed to be helped off by the Devils' training staff and teammate Stefan Noesen. He skated with his left leg up as he exited.
He was set to miss four to six weeks after imaging confirmed the injury.
In his first year with the Devils, Markstrom has a 21-9-5 record with three shutouts, a 2.20 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.
