Netminder Dustin Tokarski is returning to the Buffalo Sabres on a one-year, two-way deal worth $775,000, the club announced Saturday.
The 33-year-old spent two years with the Sabres before suiting up for the Pittsburgh Penguins last season. Prior to that, he logged time in Anaheim, Montreal and Tampa Bay.
Through nine years and 80 games at the NHL level, Tokarski's put up a .902 career save percentage and a 3.15 goals-against average, with two career shutouts.
He appeared in four games for Pittsburgh last season, spending the majority of his time with the Penguins' AHL affiliate, for whom he posted a .910 save percentage and 2.68 goals-against average in 36 games.
