The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward Nicolas Aubé-Kubel to a one-year deal worth $1 million on Wednesday.
Aubé-Kubel earned $1,075,000 last season with the Colorado Avalanche, where he won the Stanley Cup.
Aubé-Kubel is a former 48th-overall pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2014. He has 50 points in 169 regular-season NHL games, plus three in 27 playoff games and will likely be targeted as a fourth-line forward in Toronto. The Avalanche claimed him off waivers on Nov. 13, 2021.
