The Toronto Maple Leafs signed their top pick from the 2022 draft, Fraser Minten, to an three-year, entry-level deal, the club announced on Thursday. No terms of the deal were disclosed.
Minten, from Vancouver, was taken 38th overall by the Leafs after his second season with the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League.
The 18-year-old had 20 goals and 35 assists in his second season of junior hockey, plus 16 more points in 17 playoff games. Minten participated in the Maple Leafs' most recent training camp and played in one pre-season game.
