Utah Hockey Club defenceman Sean Durzi will be out for the foreseeable future with an upper-body injury, GM Bill Armstrong said in a radio appearance on 97.5 The KSL Sports Zone on Tuesday.
Armstrong did not provide a specific timeline for recovery or additional information as to the nature of Durzi's injury.
The injury occurred in Monday's loss to the New Jersey Devils. Durzi left the game in the second period after taking an awkward hit from Devils defenceman Jonas Siegenthaler while trying to move the puck into the offensive zone.
Durzi appeared to hurt his left shoulder and went straight down the tunnel. He was spotted in a sling post-game.
The 25-year-old has recorded two assists in four games with Utah this season.
