Utah Hockey Club signs Jaxson Stauber to one-year, two-way contract

The Utah Hockey Club has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with goaltender Jaxson Stauber, the team announced on Friday.

The six-foot-three, 25-year-old netminder has spent the past two seasons within the Chicago Blackhawks organization.

In 2023-24, Stauber appeared in 31 games with the 'Hawks AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, where he posted a .902 save percentage alongside a 2.85 goals-against average, all while bolstering an 18-8-3 record.

Stauber suited up for six games with the pro club during 2022-23. There, he recorded an .911 save percentage with a 2.81 goals-against average for a 5-1-0 record.

The Wayzata, Minnesota, native joined the league as an undrafted signing after three years in the NCAA with Providence College. Through 61 career collegiate games, Stauber finished with an .919 save percentage and a 2.13 goals-against average.
