Though the NHL's newest franchise doesn't yet have a name, fans are being invited to participate in the decision-making process.
Owner of the newly relocated Arizona Coyotes, Ryan Smith, has released a survey of 20 potential names for the Salt Lake City, Utah, NHL team, from which fans can choose up to four options.
According to the survey, the team will wear jerseys that display "UTAH" for its inaugural season, adopting its eventual name for a sophomore year.
Once the initial round of voting closes on May 22, Smith Entertainment Group, in partnership with Qualtrics, will release the finalists, and further voting will continue throughout the summer.

Per Smith Entertainment Group, development of a logo, mascot, team colours and other branding elements will happen after a name is chosen.
The NHL board of governors officially approved the relocation of the Coyotes to Utah on April 13. They played their final game at Mullett Arena on April 12.
