The Minnesota Wild will have to make do without their superstar forward for a heavyweight matchup in the Central Division.
Minnesota's Kirill Kaprizov is set to miss Friday's outing against the Dallas Stars with a lower-body injury, the team announced. The team listed him as day-to-day.
It's unclear when or how Kaprizov suffered the injury.
Kaprizov has been outstanding this season, tallying 23 goals and 27 assists in 34 games. He's tied for fourth in the league in points and tied for second in goals.
The 27-year-old leads all Wild forwards in average time on ice, logging 22:37 a night, and is second team-wide behind only defenceman Brock Faber.
Minnesota has struggled of late, winning only four of its last 10 games, but remains second in the Central with a 21-10-4 record and 46 points. The Wild take on the fourth-place Stars Friday night.
