Minnesota Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is making good progress after suffering an upper-body injury and could practise next week, coach Dean Evason told reporters on Friday.
The team said Fleury was undergoing evaluations on the injury on Tuesday.
Fleury is 6-4-2 with the Wild this season, posting a .906 save percentage and a 2.80 goals-against average.
The 37-year-old is the clear No. 1 netminder for Minnesota after the trade of Cam Talbot over the off-season.
Filip Gustavsson, who the Wild received from the Ottawa Senators in the Talbot trade, is Minnesota's current backup. In six games, the 24-year-old Swede is 1-4 with a 3.20 goals-against average and .901 save percentage.
