The Minnesota Wild will not be moving goalie Marc-André Fleury before the trade deadline, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Wednesday.
Friedman said the Wild "are happy to keep" Fleury. This could alter the landscape of the NHL trade deadline when it comes to goalies, as several teams were rumoured to be interested in the three-time Stanley Cup winner to provide depth in net down the stretch and into the playoffs.
The trade deadline is March 8.
Fleury, 39, is 12-10-3 this season for the Wild, with a 2.92 goals-against average and an .899 save percentage.
