The Minnesota Wild have signed defenceman Dakota Mermis to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Friday.
The deal is worth $700,000 in the NHL and $160,000 in the AHL.
Mermis, 26, played in 10 games for the New Jersey Devils last season while recording one goals and four points. He also suited up in 53 contests for the AHL’s Binghamton Devils.
Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Arizona Coyotes in July 2015, Mermis has suited up in 20 regular-season NHL contests with the Coyotes and Devils.
