Wild sign forward Mason Shaw for remainder of season

The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Mason Shaw to a two-way contract for the remainder of the season, the NHL club announced Thursday.

Shaw will make $775,000 at the NHL level and $400,000 in the AHL with Iowa.

Shaw, 25, suffered the fourth torn ACL of his career last April while playing for Minnesota in a game against Vegas.

Shaw signed an AHL contract with Iowa at the start of the season and returned to game action last month. He has four goals and three assists in nine games with Iowa this season.

In 62 career NHL games for Minnesota, Shaw has seven goals and 10 assists.

The Wild picked the native of Wainwright, Alta. in the fourth round (97th overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft.

The Wild also reassigned forward Adam Beckman to Iowa on Thursday.
