The Minnesota Wild have signed goaltender Dylan Ferguson to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Tuesday.
The deal is worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $130,000 in the American Hockey League. Minnesota also placed Ferguson on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to the AHL's Iowa Wild.
The 26-year-old from Lantzville, B.C., has appeared in seven games with Iowa this season, posting a 3-4-0 record, 3.30 goals-against average and .900 save percentage.
Ferguson was drafted in the seventh round, 194th overall, by the Dallas Stars in 2017.
He made his NHL debut with the Vegas Golden Knights, appearing in one game during the 2017-18 season.
Ferguson signed with the Ottawa Senators during the 2022-23 season and posted a 1-1-0 record, 2.52 goals-against average and .940 save percentage in two games.
After spending last season with Minsk Dynamo of the KHL, Ferguson signed a professional tryout with the Vancouver Canucks in September but did not make the club.
