The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Mats Zuccarello to a two-year, $8.25 million contract extension, the team announced Friday.
Zuccarello is entering the final season of a five-year deal he signed with the Wild in July 2019.
The 36-year-old had 67 points (22 goals and 45 assists) in 78 games with the Wild last season.
Zuccarello made his NHL debut with the New York Rangers in 2010 as an undrafted free agent. He was traded to the Dallas Stars in February 2019 and then joined the Wild as an unrestricted free agent the following summer.
The Oslo native has recorded 573 points (186 goals and 387 assists) in 766 games over 13 seasons with the Rangers, Stars and Wild.
He posted a career high 79 points (24 goals and 55 assists) during the 2021-22 season.
