Minnesota Wild defenceman Zach Bogosian will not return to Tuesday's game against the Winnipeg Jets after sustaining an upper-body injury, the team announced.
Bogosian appeared to sustain the injury late in the first period after blocking a shot from Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers. He looked to be in pain as he made his way to the bench and did not come out for the second period.
After the game, head coach John Hynes told reporters he didn't have an update on Bogosian's condition, but believes the injury may have occurred before the shot block, rather than on it.
The 33-year-old was traded to the Wild from the Tampa Bay Lightning in November 2023. In 43 games with the Wild, Bogosian has one goal and eight assists.
