The Minnesota Wild will be without Joel Eriksson Ek and John Klingberg for Game 1 against the Dallas Stars with both still recovering from lower-body injuries.
Eriksson Ek was injured on April 6 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, after blocking a slapshot from Evgeni Malkin. He has been considered week-to-week ever since.
The centreman had a good regular season for the Wild, providing 23 goals and 61 points in 78 games.
Klingberg sustained a lower body injury while practising with the team over the weekend. Since joining the Wild, the defenceman has notched two goals and nine points overall.
Klingberg previously spent eight seasons with the Dallas Stars before leaving the team in free agency in 2022. When Klingberg suits up again for the Wild, it will be the first time he meets his former team in the playoffs.
