Minnesota Wild winger Marcus Foligno has undergone core muscle repair surgery and will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season, the team announced Tuesday.
The 32-year-old has already missed two of the Wild's games, having not played since March 23 against the St. Louis Blues.
According to the Wild, Foligno is expected to be fully recovered by the start of training camp in September.
Foligno recorded 10 goals and 12 assists this season, his seventh with the Wild, for a total of 22 points.
Over 798 career NHL games split between the Wild and the Buffalo Sabres, Foligno has 294 points.
The Minnesota Wild (35-29-9) currently sit two spots out of the Western Conference wild-card race.
