Winnipeg Jets head coach Rick Bowness told reporters Friday that forward Morgan Barron will not play in Game 1 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs opening round series against the Colorado Avalanche.
When asked who will replace Barron in the lineup for Sunday's opener, Bowness wasn't willing to say.
Barron left Tuesday's game against the Seattle Kraken with a lower-body injury after an awkward fall into the side boards.
He did not dress for Thursday's regular season finale against the Vancouver Canucks.
The 25-year-old Barron recorded 18 points, including a career-high 11 goals, over 80 games this season.
