Morgan Barron is staying in Winnipeg.
The Jets re-signed the Canadian forward to a two-year contract on Monday. The deal is worth $2.7 million, with an AAV of $1.35 million.
The 24-year-old from Halifax, N.S., set a single-season career-high last year, recording 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) in 70 games with Winnipeg. In the 2022-23 post-season, Barron suited up for all five games against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Drafted in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Rangers, Barron skated in New York for close to two seasons before the Jets acquired him in a trade in March 2022.
