The Colorado Avalanche placed captain Gabriel Landeskog in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols on Monday.

Landeskog is the only Avalanche player currently in protocols. Colorado last played the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Swede is having a stellar season in Denver, with 14 goals and 21 assists through 26 games played so far this season. He was named the NHL’s first star for last week registering seven points (four goals, three assists) in three games.

The Avalanche are on fire as of late, having not yet lost in 2022.

Landeskog will be out for Monday’s game against the Seattle Kraken.
