Avalanche’s Makar to miss second consecutive game, will not play vs. Canucks

Colorado Avalanche star defenceman Cale Makar will miss his second consecutive game with an undisclosed injury and will not play against the Vancouver Canucks, per the team.

Makar, 24, missed Wednesday’s game against his hometown Calgary Flames and head coach Jared Bednar classified him as day-to-day.

The reigning Norris Trophy winner has 13 goals and 43 points in 42 games this season.
