NHL Injury Report: Blackhawks’ Hall week to week; Kings’ Arvidsson won’t be back soon

Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson told reporters that forward Taylor Hall will be out “week to week” following a hit from Boston Bruins defenceman Brandon Carlo during Wednesday’s game.

Hall was hit during the second period and left for the dressing room. He returned for one shift before exiting the game for good.

Hall recorded one assist — on Connor Bedard’s first NHL goal that opened the scoring — in the first period.

It was the lone goal for Chicago as Boston won the game 3-1.

The 31-year-old Hall was traded to the Blackhawks from the Bruins along with Nick Foligno in exchange for Alec Regula and Ian Mitchell on June 26.

The former No. 1 overall pick had 16 goals and 36 points with the Bruins last season.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Kings coach Todd McLellan said forward Viktor Arvidsson will be out a while after Wednesday’s loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

Arvidsson suffered a lower-body injury at practice earlier in the week.

The Swedish winger had 26 goals and 33 assists for 59 points in 77 games this season.
