Bruins’ Brad Marchand rehabbing from three surgeries

It hasn’t been the most pleasant off-season for Brad Marchand.

The feisty Boston Bruins forward told reporters on Tuesday he had three surgeries this summer — for his elbow, groin and sports hernia.

Marchand still hopes to be ready for the start of training camp later this month, per Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com.

The elbow injury was a nagging ailment, he said, while the other two happened toward the end of the season.

Marchand, 36, had 29 goals and 38 assists for 67 points in 82 regular-season games before adding three goals and seven assists in 11 playoff games.

The Halifax native has been picked for four post-season NHL All-Star teams.
