Buffalo Sabres sign Mason Jobst to one-year, two-way deal

The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Mason Jobst to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Monday.

The 30-year-old out of Speedway, Ind., played with the Rochester Americans of the AHL during the 2023-2024 campaign. Suiting up for 64 games, he netted 22 goals and 28 assists for 50 points — all of which were career highs.

Since joining in 2019-2020, he has appeared in 225 AHL games amongst the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Binghamton Devils, Rochester Americans and San Jose Barracuda. During that time, he has totalled 51 goals and 75 assists for 126 points.

The five-foot-eight centre went undrafted and joined the Sound Tigers following an impressive collegiate career with Ohio State of the NCAA. From 2015-2019, Jobst recorded 169 points across 150 games, being named Big-10 First All-Star Team twice.
