Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher will miss at least six weeks because of a lower-body injury, the team announced Wednesday.
Gallagher missed a month with a lower-body injury earlier this season before returning to the lineup on Dec. 29.
Gallagher appeared to sustain a lower-body injury during practice in Nashville on Jan. 2 but played in the Canadiens’ 6-3 loss to the Predators the next night. He hasn’t played since that game.
The 30-year-old Edmonton native has four goals and five assists in 25 games for the Canadiens this season.
