Canadiens’ Petry, Golden Knights’ Stephenson out for Game 2

Montreal Canadiens defenceman Jeff Petry took warmup for Game 2 against the Vegas Golden Knights but is not in the lineup while the Golden Knights’ top-line centre Chandler Stephenson did not dress for the game and is also out.

Patrick Brown replaced Stephenson in the lineup while Nic Roy replaced him at centre between Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone. Jon Merrill, who last played in Game 5 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, returned to the lineup in place of Alexander Romanov on the Canadiens’ blue line.

Petry injured his hand in Game 3 against the Winnipeg Jets and has been out of the lineup ever since. Stephenson has six assists in 14 playoff games after setting a career-high with 14 goals and 35 assists during the regular season.
