Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat will be out at least two weeks with a lower-body injury before he is re-evaluated, the team said on Friday.
The Canucks, in a desperate race for one of the last playoff spots in the Western Conference, will be missing Horvat after he stopped a shot against Arizona on Thursday.
The Canucks captain suffered the injury during the second period after blocking Anton Stralman’s shot with his foot. He was seen limping down the tunnel as he skated off the ice.
The 27-year-old has 31 goals and 21 assists in 69 games this season for the Canucks.
Earlier, Canucks coach Bruce Boudreau said leading goal-scorer Bo Horvat could return when Vancouver hosts Dallas in the team’s next game on Monday.
Boeser has been sidelined since April 5 with an undisclosed upper-body injury after an April 3 game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
The 25-year-old native of Burnsville, Minn., has 38 points (19 goals, 19 assists) in 64 games this season.
