Vancouver Canucks general manager Partik Allvin announced Saturday that defenceman Travis Dermott has been placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.
Dermott last played on Jan. 25 against the Seattle Kraken. He was a minus-one in 14:38 of ice time. Dermott was sidelined earlier in the year with a concussion before returning to the lineup on Dec. 29.
In 11 games for the Canucks this season, Dermott has scored one goal while averaging 13:45 minutes of ice time. Last season, the Canucks acquired Dermott from the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played in 61 games between the two teams.
In a corresponding move, the Canucks recalled defenceman Christian Wolanin from Abbotsford.
Wolanin has played in 70 career NHL games for three different teams throughout his career. This will be his first NHL appearance for the Canucks, with his previous stints coming with the Ottawa Senators, Los Angeles Kings and Buffalo Sabres.
In 49 games for Abbotsford this year, Wolanin has six goals and 55 points.
