Canucks re-sign forward Linus Karlsson to one-year, two-way deal

The Vancouver Canucks announced Thursday that forward Linus Karlsson has been re-signed on a one-year, two-way contract.

The 24-year-old spent the majority of the 2023-24 season with the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League. Over 60 regular-season games, Karlsson recorded 23 goals and 37 assists for a total of 60 points. He added another two goals over six playoff appearances.

Meanwhile, the Swede appeared in four games with Vancouver this past season after making his NHL debut on Nov. 16, 2023, in a 5–2 loss to the Calgary Flames. He also slotted in for two playoff games but did not record a point in either the regular season or post-season at the NHL level.

Karlsson was originally selected by the San Jose Sharks in the third round (87th overall) of the 2018 draft. He was acquired by the Canucks on Feb. 25th, 2019, in exchange for Jonathan Dahlen.
