Capitals sign Max Pacioretty to one-year, $2M contract

The Washington Capitals signed Max Pacioretty to a one-year, $2 million contract with the potential for another $2 million in bonuses, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports.

Pacioretty, acquired by the Carolina Hurricanes ahead of the 2022-23 season, scored three goals in five games for the Hurricanes after various injuries kept him out of the lineup.

Over an 855 NHL game career across the Montreal Canadiens, Vegas Golden Knights and the Hurricanes, the All Star has scored 326 goals and 645 points.
