Casey DeSmith starts for Penguins after Tristan Jarry injured

Goaltender Casey DeSmith started for the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Florida Panthers after Tristan Jarry was ruled out due to injury on Tuesday.

Jarry had missed seven games with a lower-body injury and returned last Friday against the Ottawa Senators. But this time, the Penguins said he was dealing with an upper-body injury.

Mike Chiasson is the Penguins’ emergency back-up goalie and has practised with the team multiple times this season.

The Penguins beat the Panthers 7-6 in overtime.
