Coyotes sign forward Jean-Sebastien Dea to two-year, two-way contract

The Arizona Coyotes signed forward Jean-Sebastien Dea to a two-year, two-way contract on Thursday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Dea joined the Montreal Canadiens last year but spent the entire season on the farm with his hometown Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League. He finished second on the Rocket in scoring with 52 points (26 goals and 26 assists) in 70 games during the regular season and chipped in four goals and four assists during 15 playoff games.

The 28-year-old from Laval, Que., has five goals and two assists in 33 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres.

Dea played junior hockey with the QMJHL’s Rouyn-Noranda Huskies including two seasons with current Coyotes bench boss André Tourigny serving as head coach.
