Ducks’ John Gibson day-to-day with lower-body injury

Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson was scratched from Tuesday’s game against the Colorado Avalanche with a lower-body injury.

The team says he is being considered day-to-day.

Gibson was pulled after allowing five goals in a 6-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Friday. Ryan Miller started Saturday against the Sharks and was again in the net Tuesday, with Anthony Stolarz serving as backup.

Gibson has been the busiest goalie in the NHL this season, starting 23 of the Ducks’ first 29 games entering Tuesday. Despite recording three shutouts, his numbers for the most part have been down this season with a .894 save percentage and 3.11 goals-against average both the worst marks of his career.
