Flames claim forward A.J. Greer off waivers from Bruins

The Calgary Flames have claimed depth forward A.J. Greer off waivers from the Boston Bruins.

Greer, 26, was a full-time member of the Bruins last season after splitting his first five professional seasons between the NHL and AHL with the Avalanche and Devils organizations.

Last season, the six-foot-three left winger appeared in 61 games for the Bruins where he registered 12 points and 114 penalty minutes.

Additionally, on Monday the Flames assigned right winger Adam Klapka, centre Cole Schwindt and defenceman Ilya Solovyov to the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers.
