The Calgary Flames are bringing back veteran forward Trevor Lewis on a one-year deal, general manager Brad Treliving confirmed.
Lewis will count $800,000 against the salary cap next season.
The 35-year-old appeared in 80 games last season, putting up six goals and 16 points. He also had five points in 12 games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Treliving called Lewis ” a glue member of the team” and has a lot of experience working with head coach Darryl Sutter from their time with the Los Angeles Kings, where he won two Stanley Cups.
In 810 career NHL games with the Flames, Kings and Winnipeg Jets, Lewis has 81 goals and 189 points along with 28 points in 99 career post-season games.
