The Calgary Flames have signed left winger Sonny Milano to a professional try-out contract, the team announced Monday.
The 16th overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft spent the past three seasons in the Anaheim Ducks organization. He played a career-high 66 NHL games last season, picking up 34 points (14 goals, 20 assists) in the process.
Milano, a native of Massapequa, NY, represented the United States at the 2018 World Hockey Championship, helping his country win bronze. The 26-year-old also won the Calder Cup with the Lake Erie Monsters in 2016.
