Flyers place Travis Konecny on injured reserve due to upper-body injury

The Philadelphia Flyers have placed forward Travis Konecny on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury, the team announced Monday.

The Flyers have also recalled defenceman Egor Zamula from Lehigh Valley of the American Hockey League.

Konecny suffered what appeared to be a hand injury on Nov. 17 against the Boston Bruins and has been out of the lineup ever since.

The 25-year-old is currently Philadelphia’s leading goal scorer, with seven tallies through his 17 games played.
