The Philadelphia Flyers announced the signing of goalie Eetu Mäkiniemi on Wednesday.
The Finnish netminder has agreed to a one-year, two-way deal worth $775,000 at the NHL level.
A 107th overall pick by Carolina in 2017, the 25-year-old Mäkiniemi has played just two games in the NHL, both with the San Jose Sharks. His NHL stat line reads: 1-1-0, 2.13 GAA and .906 save percentage.
