Philadelphia Flyers forward Sean Couturier has stopped skating amid his recovery from a back injury, head coach John Tortorella announced Thursday.
Couturier had been skating previously during his recovery, but Tortorella believes he’s not ready to be skating right now.
The star centre reportedly sustained the back injury during strength and conditioning drills, but did not need surgery to address it. He was considered week-to-week.
Couturier was limited to only 29 games last season due to a back injury and had surgery in February.
