Golden Knights’ Adin Hill leaves game vs. Canucks for ‘precautionary reasons’

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill sat out for the third period of Thursday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks for precautionary reasons, the team announced.

They brought in backup goalie Logan Thompson to start the third period. At that point, Hill had stopped all 16 shots he faced and the Golden Knights were up 3-0.

After bringing in Logan Thompson, the Golden Knights lost their shutout, conceding a goal to Canucks forward Andrei Kuzmenko.

There were no concerns surrounding Hill having an injury in the lead-up to the game and it’s believed that Vegas pulling him was strictly precautionary.

Hill, 27, has had a stellar year with the Golden Knights, carrying a 9-2-2 record, a .933 save percentage and a 1.96 goals-against average.
