Hurricanes’ Drury leaves Game 4 vs. Islanders with upper-body injury

Carolina Hurricanes centre Jack Drury will miss the remainder of Game 4 against the New York Islanders after being ruled out with an upper-body injury.

Drury, 23, suffered the injury in the first period of Sunday’s game when he was hit into the boards by Islanders defenceman Ryan Pulock.

Pulock initially received a five-minute major on the play, but after review it was downgraded to a minor penalty for boarding.

Drury was met by a trainer on the ice and had to be helped off. The Hurricanes announced ahead of the second period he would not return to the game.

Carolina leads the series 2-1.
