Hurricanes goalie Pyotr Kochetkov in concussion protocol

Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov is in concussion protocol and is out indefinitely, coach Rod Brind’Amour told reporters Friday.

Kochetkov exited Thursday’s win over Anaheim during the second period after Ducks forward Isac Lundestrom was pushed into him, causing him to collide with the net.

The team already was missing goalie Frederik Andersen (blood clod issue).

Kochetkov is 11-7-3 with a 2.58 goals-against average and .900 save percentage this season.

Antti Raanta will be the Hurricanes’ starter with the other two goalies out.

The team also will recall Yaniv Perets from ECHL Norfolk.
